American Soldier

Image
This is the most powerful picture to me because it shows the soldier praying that things will get better for him.  These images tell a story because they are in a sequence from before recruitment all the way to when he came home. It shows the daily things that he went through like trainings. The captions explain what is happening in each photo. Ian Fisher was 17 and he told his parents he was going to join the military. Shortly after he graduated he did just so.  He had two different types of going away parties before he left. He also had to be medically evaluated.  He then was stationed at Fort Benning, GA, where he went through basic training. He socialized with others in his bunking area. He was even assigned an M16. He started to train for raids. Then he was stationed at Fort Carson for more training. He trains out in the Mojave desert for a while, he was there for 12 months. He got one week off, and his dad warned him about drug abuse. Ian took ma...

Mural Project Review

1. Some possible ideas are people doing stuff in nature. We could take pictures of people in greenbelts or at Lake Travis.  We could also take portraits of people we know or downtown. We could even take pictures of buildings, landscapes, or even animals. 2. I will have to make sure I have set my camera to a good aperture, iso, and shutter speed to get a good camera. 3. We could make a collage then post them to instagram or pintrest. We could also put them on the Bowie website

They iris and pupil relate to aperture the most because they control how much light passes into the eye just like the aperture controls how much gets into the camera. The smaller the aperture the less light that passes through, the bigger the aperture the more light that passes through.  When there is a larger aperture their is a large depth of field, but when its smaller it makes a small and shallow depth of field. Fast Slow  When the sun was still up it would be better to use a medium shutter speed for booths under shade, and fast ones for booths like the dancers and basketball. When the sun has gone down it would be better to use a slower shutter speed to capture more light except on the fast moving stuff like basketball, you would need a medium shutter speed. Unless you want to create motion blur. When the camera is in auto mode the camera picks the shutter speed. When it is in shutter speed priority you pick the shutter speed and it sets the ap...
